Alcohol Recovery Group 8 years agoHi! I’m mary and l’m an alcoholic. I have let myself and family down. I drank 2 dranks on Sunday. Just lost it hollering. Cussing and fighting. Don’t even know what set me off except the booze. I keep things inside till I just let it out in the wrong way and on anyone in sight. It has come to the point I could just sleep forever.

Women in Recovery 8 years agoI’m an alcoholic, That’s tried to be a drinker like normal people. Unhappy, depressed and lonely.

I understand I was sober 20 years now drinking again 12.

after 20 years sober,you have been drinking 12 years? Is it true that ‘you pick up where you left off and it becomes progressively worse’ in terms of consumption of alcohol?

It’s because it’s what we know. Booze makes it all better & then ALWAYS worse.
