Dual Diagnosis 9 years agoHi everyone. Im shannon and I am an alcoholic. I have been diagnosed with ptsd due to a previous relationship and am now being treated finally . I believe I must deal with the ptsd in order to be living sober. I have been drinking for 30 years and am now recovering . I am so glad to be here. Today is my sober day 1. Thanks for reading.

I can relate! I have my bipolar managed with medication but I really struggle with my complex ptsd from childhood and ptsd as adult for two terrible relationships and a sexual assault. I have to work on it every day if I am to have a chance of staying sober.
