So many yets; Ā so many lies. Ā I’m the best at denial. Ā Ā I’d numb my feelings all day. Ā Ā I can’t believe I put back to back days of sobriety!! Ā Wow!! Ā Why or How?
Al said , “another man is tucking my kids in bed”. Ā It’s the sentence I can’t comprehend. Ā Ā I don’t want that to happen

I want to hold onto my seat number one and keep being teachable. Ā I want to remember to be vigilant regarding my sobriety and recognizing feeling happy in new recovery. Ā Today is what my focus should be on not yesterday’s : Ā No rear view window

I just moved to a new city after 5 good years of recovery in my prior place of residence. Shortly after settling in I was struck with a serious medical mess and have been hospitalized for a month. Cut off from meetings, though I do remain touch with recovery buds from home. Looking to connect from this place of isolation.

Glad you’re here Tyler we’re all in this together!
Working the 12 Steps with a sponsor, going to lots of meetings and talking to or helping other people on their recovery journey have given me a happy, healthy, and stable life that beforehand I never could have envisioned. It’s a beautiful journey my friend

Yeah Jason your right about the fact that once the ‘obsession’ drives us to the first drink, Ā the alcohol is then the person. Ā You could go as far to say that the alcoholic has multiple personalities. When under the direct influence of alcohol, Ā the subject is no longer him/herself. Ā The doctor jeykle – Mr. Hyde syndrome as the BB puts it. Ā Un…[Read more]

I just try not to think about it. The best way i suppose would be to accept that im an alcoholic and when i was drinking i was not myself i was sick and needed help.
