Women in Recovery 8 years, 8 months agoI have 3 years of sobrietyand just now realizing what it means to stop growing emotionally when we drink. I learned tho that i stopped growing emotionally way before i my drinking career started, and this is hard to except and wrap my head around.

Hi, I have not yet been to an AA meeting. Ihave wanted to cut down on booze for years. Stopping for good would be best because if I can tell myself I can only have a few then I obsess about it. Feeling sad tonight. Husband still wants a divorce because of my drinking. Went to the doctor to get out on Librium and it has helped with the urges, also made an appointment to see an addiction psychiatrist. Not sure what more I can do to save my 20 year marriage.
